Ahaha...I should have not been lazy and scanned and submitted this when I drew it a couple months ago. I liked it more then.
Originally, this was drawn as the one and only anime-ish style pic I was gonna use in a portfolio for that governor's school for the arts thing that I never finished applying for. And it's kind of a good thing I didn't; our governor's a moron and cut the funding for it anyway.
Anyways. These three are the main characters of my three main (still WIP) stories/comics: DreamCatcher, Unemployed Angels, and Licao.
You all know DC and Riza up top there. Not that we see her in full Earth-human form very often, really. She looks so apathetic like that. I mean, well, she IS apathetic like that. And speaking of DC, I need to go finish the pages for this weekend as soon as I'm done with this.
Anyway, going clockwise, Sierra's popped up in my gallery a few times, along with her angel friends. Actually, I've been working on that story a lot lately, and it will be a comic. I've actually got a number of pages sketched and finally decided on what to do with the inking, and as soon as I redraw the first couple pages (because they're really really old and crappy), that should be up. However, DC comes first, so I have to work around that XD
Moving on, Rhett's a relatively new character for a relatively new story. He's also the first male main character I've had since who knows when XD. He's been in one or two other pics in the gallery, I think. Anyway, his story's still very much underdeveloped, so don't expect much of that for awhile XD.
Ok, since by now you're probably wondering about the title, all three of these stories take place in the same town/area, known as Ariesville. They're just in different time periods. Licao's the earliest in about 2003, then DC in 2006-09 or so (yeah, the story will span over a couple years), and UA begins around 2018 (there's actually a funny reason I picked that year, but you'll have to wait to see it).
As for the artwork, this is pretty much pure ink with some pencil shading on top. I did do some minor photoshop touchups; mostly just fixing the contrast and changing the color. I didn't want to mess with it too much. I'm not completely sure how I ended up picking that red-orange tone, but nothing else really seemed to fit.
Anyway...I need to stop making descriptions so long. >< But I always feel the need to explain everything. Oh well.
